OUR Vision

We believe that the spaces in which we live, work, interact and spend most of our time should be inspiring, uplifting, and extraordinary, every single day.

Art installations play such an important part in this, enhancing the experience of the people who use and inhabit these spaces. Being surrounded by art helps people to be happier, more productive, energised, inspired, and feel a greater sense of wellbeing.

Our medium is plaster, and our art form is contemporary fresco. Historically, frescoes have always tried to engage with people, to encourage them to connect with their space, and to uplift people's spirits in an awesome, powerful and immersive spectacle. Frescoes make space into something tactile, transformative, often transcendental, and deeply moving.

Fresco shows the power and possibilities of art inhabiting extraordinary spaces.  It blurs the boundaries between building and art, in itself literally becoming a part of the building as it dries.  

We harness and reinvigorate the fresco tradition in our own contemporary language, drawing upon the extensive creative experience of the team, and using our specially developed, innovative methods, combining artisan skills with new technology, that allow our abstract frescoes to be installed on a large scale in both residential and commercial interiors.  

In this way, we offer architectural art; art that is not an addition to a space or an embellishment, but an integral part of it; part of the first impression and the ongoing experience of inhabiting, using and connecting to it.

Believing in making meaning, adding story, narrative and substance, our studio undertakes historical, contextual and conceptual research for each project, to discover a unique hidden narrative. This offers a rich and informed starting point from which an innovative and beautiful fresco evolves.

Frescoes, to use an old adage, stand the test of time; and installing a fresco is adding another chapter and layer to a building's history. 

Whilst each new fresco resonates with its inherited history, it is confidently contemporary. It encourages a dialogue between old and new but uses abstract expressionism and action painting in its creation, and techniques that are undoubtedly modern and innovative.  

Each fresco also represents principles that are timeless. It encapsulates elegance with its consideration of proportions, its composition, its special details, in its elevation of a humble material, and in its simplicity.  It encapsulates luxury in its tactility and its bespoke and unique nature, and it connects quietly to a prestigious and rich tradition.
